Clinical interest: Emergency/Trauma Medicine

“From my insights into emergency trauma medicine and surgery, I have certainly come to appreciate the importance of protocols to help prioritise and manage patient care optimally, for everyone. I have gained first hand experience of resuscitation and management of the critically injured trauma patient. And this insight has actually made me look at my career aspirations objectively, for which surgery is an enticing possibility. Without hesitation, I would love to return to Canada again, perhaps on a surgical fellowship as a Registrar or Consultant. My elective has certainly been one of the highlights of my medical training, and a very valuable learning experience.”
