Jeremy Wales
Soo Jung Hospital, Doti, Nepal

Clinical interest: General medicine

“Rural medicine in Nepal is a challenging environment to work in. The case-load is high and the access to tertiary care is difficult. Working in a small rural hospital will hone your clinical diagnosis skills and test your ability to decide on management in a poor and health resource deficient setting. There are great opportunities to teach, learn about public health and really feel like for the first time you can make a difference in medicine.”
