Adam Montgomery
Victoria Hospital, St Lucia, Castries, St. Lucia

Clinical interest: Radiology

“From June – August 2014, I travelled with four of my colleagues from Queen’s University Belfast to the Caribbean island of St Lucia for my elective. We chose this destination with views to experience healthcare in a country vastly different from our own, and to explore an island that was reputedly among the most beautiful in the Caribbean. We had applied to undertake our elective in Victoria Hospital, the public hospital for the capital city of Castries. Prior to our departure we were emailed by the hospital and given a choice of possible placements: I made my selections, and was assigned to work in Internal Medicine for four weeks, and Radiology for two weeks.”
