|  |  |  |  | |  | The Electives Network Ltd. is a not-for-profit company set-up to provide medical students with an up-to-date and interactive electives planning service. The company was founded in May 2001 and we launched our online electives service to UK and Irish students in September 2001. Since our launch the site has expanded greatly and has seen excellent uptake with students from all over the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand.

THE TEAM Dr Gordon Hamilton - Having graduated from Oxford University and Imperial College School of Medicine in 2005, Gordon has recently returned from Silicon Valley working as a consultant for a biotechnology company and is now based in Oxford running their European operation. He took a year’s sabbatical from his medical studies in 2001 to set up The Electives Network. Gordon has travelled to over 30 independent countries and has experiences of electives through medical work in hospitals in Belize, India, Cuba and Venezuela.
Sara Buck - Sara joined TEN in 2002 and is responsible for maintaining close relationships with medical schools and medical students both in the UK and across the world. She is responsible for the day to day running of the company, liaison with TEN’s business partners and drives the company’s ongoing expansion.
Halina Malone- Having graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1999 with a Psychology degree, Halina worked extensively in IT before joining TEN in 2003. She is responsible for updating site content, identifying new elective opportunities worldwide, and site marketing.
The company has two non-executive directors, Dr. Michael Stein, co-founder of Medschool.com, and Dr. Matthew Wood, senior medical tutor at Somerville College, Oxford.
