Modern Slavery Statement

This statement is made pursuant to the Modern Slavery Act 2015. The Electives Network (TEN) is a non-profit limited company.  
Introduction.

We are committed to respecting human rights and ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking any part of our business or that of those organisations we partner with.  We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, a policy which governs everything we do at TEN. We commit to further improving business practices to combat modern slavery and to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business or partnerships. This statement has been published in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps taken by The Electives Network Ltd. during the year ending 31st May 2024. 

Our organisations and partnerships.

The Electives Network is a non-profit organisation based in the UK which supports healthcare students in planning and organising elective placements to gain experience during their studies. Our management team includes Global Health professionals. We have the privilege to connect healthcare professionals from around the world. We see our work as enabling the development of interconnected and robust health systems which benefit from the skill sharing and system building that such networks entail. We believe that a global network of interconnected healthcare professionals can improve policy awareness and understanding and benefit the health systems, health workers and patients. The Electives Network aspires to support all healthcare professionals from around the world to educate, support and encourage applied research in the field of Global Health. Our business is primarily carried out within the UK, with a partnership in Germany and voluntary relationships with hospitals and clinics worldwide. This statement is applicable to all persons working for us or on our behalf in any capacity, including employees at all levels, directors and consultants. Due to the nature of our business, we assess ourselves to have a low risk of modern slavery in our business and partnerships.
