The Victoria Hospital opened in January 1890 with 14 beds under the name Victoria Cottage Hospital. In 1923 it was declared a General Hospital and serves now as a secondary Hospital, situated in the Southern suburbs of the Western Cape, South Africa and serves four corners of Cape Town – from Wynberg in the North, Hout Bay in the West, Philippi and Mitchell’s Plain in the East, Masiphumelele and Simon’s Town in the South.
