The Clinica Hospital San Fernando is a private hospital in Panama City, which has a number of associations with American medical institutions, such as Tulane University, Children’s Hospital in Miami, Baptist Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic. It is also directly affiliated to Pana-Health Corp., the country’s premier medical tourism company.
The hospital has been operating for over 60 years and is the oldest private hospital in Panama. There are four main wards at the hospital; medical, surgical, emergency and specialist. The services provided by the hospital are wide ranging, for instance, the surgical ward is organised into a variety of areas: preparation, five suites of surgery, anesthesia recovery, endoscopy and dialysis. The hospital also covers such specialist facilities as a Cardiovascular Diagnostic Center (which is non-invasive) and a Department of Nuclear Medicine.
