Kanye Seventh Day Adventist Hospital Kanye, Botswana
One of the oldest hospitals in Botswana, Kanye Seventh Day Adventist Hospital is a busy regional hospital.
Kanye is a town located in southern Botswana. It is the administrative center of the Southern District. It is the capital of the Bangwaketse tribe whose chief is Kgosi Seepapitso IV. Kanye is the original village for Bangwaketse, which is one of the biggest tribes in Botswana. It is located in the mountainous region of Southern Botswana. It is bordered by Moshupa, Lobatse, Jwaneng and is a 45-minute drive from Gaborone, which is the capital city of Botswana.
Jwaneng is the site of one of the worlds largest diamond mines and Kanye has developed to accommodate workers from Jwaneng so it does have some supermarkets and restaurants. However it is still a relatively rural urban sprawl and there are few extra curriculum activities on offer.
Gaborone, the capital of the country is about 45 minutes away and there you can find large supermarkets, shopping centres similar to any modern city with cinemas, good restaurants (besides diamonds Botswana produces an incredible amount of excellent beef). There is a golf course and the large reservoir where the Gaborone Sailing Club is based, there are also a number of Casinos, and American style hotels and bars.
