The Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital caters for the population of Brisbane North (3.5million people). It is situated on the same campus as the Royal Children’s Hospital. It is also a teaching hospital of the University of Queensland Medical School. It is the largest tertiary referral hospital in Queensland and has recently undergone a major redevelopment programme. The Royal Brisbane & Women’s hospital provides services to patients throughout the state, Northern New South Wales, the Northern Territory and from neighbouring countries in the South West Pacific.
