Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital is a progressive, fully accredited teaching hospital located on a 28 hectare medical campus adjacent to King’s Park, 4 kilometres from central Perth. There are six Clinical Service Units and most clinical specialties are available; notable exclusions are paediatrics and obstetrics and gynaecology. The hospital has a distinguished record in patient care, teaching and research and is closely associated with several universities; The University of Western Australia, Curtin, Notre Dame and Edith Cowan Universities.
The hospital treats approximately 75,000 inpatients, 45,000 emergency presentations and 500,000 outpatients annually and has 607 beds available, 105 of which are day patient beds. An additional 84 rehabilitation beds are also currently accessible at Osborne Park Hospital.
