Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is one of the country’s largest and busiest acute teaching trusts. The Trust is the principal provider of acute general, specialist and tertiary hospital care to the population of Nottingham, receiving 98 per cent of all elective and urgent referrals from primary care trusts in Nottinghamshire.
Their activities include general hospital services for the local population and a wide range of specialist services, many for patients across the East Midlands and beyond. Nottingham is the only city in the country to secure three successful bids for prestigious biomedical research units. NUH is working with The University of Nottingham to help to translate research findings for stomach, bowel and liver disease, hearing and respiratory disease into better patient care.
