The North Sydney Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Centre is one of the largest specialist centres of its type in Australia. It has an international reputation of excellence, particularly in shoulder, knee and ankle surgery. The Centre also offers care through complimentary services to its central practice, such as nutrition and specialist radiology, which covers all areas of musculoskelatal medicine.
Established in 1982 one of the aims of the Centre has been to improve the standard of training of young orthopaedic surgeons and a Fellowship Training programme was established in 1983 to meet this aim. It runs a series of training programmes and is committed to providing the elective student with a valuable experience in a relaxed and friendly setting. The clinic has an excellent reputation for the quality of its training and has trained over 80 young surgeons from around the world.
