St Finbarr’s Hopsital comprises of a group of separate buildings spread over a 26 acre site on the southern side of Cork city. The original buildings date from the 1830’s and further blocks were added in the 1950’s and the eldery and rehabilitation wards were purpose built in the 1970’s. The hospital has 444 beds accommodating: the Elderly; Maternity, children’s services; psychiatric services, community care, young chronic sick unit and a tuberculosis unit.
