This new hospital boasts state of the art clinical facilities, with capacity for 10% more in-patients and 14% more out-patients, whilst setting new standards in patient care. The hospital is a teaching hospital for University College London (UCL) and is part of the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. It is a relatively large hospital, with 665 in-patient beds, 12 operating theatres and the largest single critical care unit in the NHS. It is a major teaching hospital and a key centre for UCL Medical School and medical research.
