Hospital description

The hospital was founded in 1849 in a palace which had a long and turbulent history. The first patients were those wounded in a public-uprising called the “May Revolution”. Even today the hospital maintains much of its external beauty and grandeur and is considered and valued as a monument as well as a hospital by the local population for which it provides core medical care.

It consists of 15 clinics and about 85 000 patients are treated a year. It has an own medical training college where more than 600 trainees learn a nursing or medical assistance professions.
