A modern clinic building in an Aboriginal community of around 600 residents; one doctor, one nurse and some Aboriginal health-care workers. Segregated male and female treatment areas; there is also a basic pathology lab, an emergency room, a dialysis room and a family treatment room. This is a very small, rural community. It would give the elective student a unique insight into Aboriginal life and the particular medical and social problems encountered by its residents.
