Bokamoso in Setswana means “The Future”
Embarking on a career at Bokamoso Private Hospital, you will discover unmatched potential for practicing world-class medicine. Bokamoso is where you can achieve your goals for career and personal fulfillment, utilize the skills you have been taught, and be part of an international team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to quality medical care.
Every hospital should have an aim, an objective directing it into the future, and a mission to succeed. Ours is to be a leading healthcare institution in southern Africa.
Towards that aim, we will:
Provide clinical care that meets the highest international standards.
Maintain excellent patient service and high levels of productivity.
Provide a range of specialties for patients who previously had to travel out of the country for such care.
Train clinicians for work in the Hospital and elsewhere in Botswana.
Bokamoso Private Hospital, owned by the Bokamoso Private Hospital Trust, formed by Botswana Public Officers Medical Aid Scheme (BPOMAS) and PULA Medical Aid Fund (PULA) is a private not-for-profit health care provider. We offer our patients a skilled and caring staff who provide patient centered care of the highest clinical excellence in a state-of-the-art facility.
The facility has eight operating theatres, cardiac catheterization and endoscopy suites, as well as radiology and pathology laboratories designed with state-of-the-art equipment. An advanced Information Technology Department supports electronic medical records and telemedicine capability.
In all of Africa, Botswana stands out as a beacon of democracy and the rule of law. Botswana is a country known for peace and tranquility, phenomenal game viewing, the largest inland delta on earth, the Kalahari Desert, vast diamond reserves, and a warm and friendly people.
Bokamoso Private Hospital is located in Gaborone, Botswana. “Gabs”—as the capital is affectionately known by local people—has a population of just over 300,000. It is a modern urban center whose charming character is brought to light by the fictional character of Precious Ramotswe, owner of the now famous “No 1 Ladies Detective Agency”. Working in Gaborone offers the opportunity to be part of the global effort to improve the health infrastructure of Africa while living in a safe and comfortable environment.
