Wilhelminenspital der Stadt Wien is a large hospital with the complete variety of medical and surgical services. It was first built in 1898, and still occupies the same site. Whilst providing a large number of medical services, it contains the national centre for Oncology and Haematology, a unit which carries out a large amount of research as well as clinical work.
