The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is an acute care facility in Houston, providing obstetric, gynaecology and neonatal facilities. It is a state of the art facility, which has just undergone a $75million expansion programme. The hospital opened in 1976 and is the state’s premier facility dedicated solely to the health of women and newborn infants.
The hospital is located near the Texas Medical Center, and has 397 licensed beds, including a NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) and, in line with its specialist status, offers a full range of women’s health services and care for newborns.
There is a large, high quality staff dedicated to offering care in the areas of gynaecology, obstetrical care, high-risk pregnancy and minimally invasive surgery.
The Woman’s Hospital of Texas in central Houston is an affiliate of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). It is accredited by the Joint Commission and is recognized on the U.S. News & World Report annual list of best hospitals.
