Founded in 1952, the clinic is solely focused on the detection and prevention of Cancer.
The clinic is dependent upon donations from benefactors and small amounts charged to patients. A typical charge for a mammogram being $1. The clinic is equipped to investigate various forms of cancer including prostate, breast, uterus and stomach cancers. The 30 part time staff see about 80 people per day. The doctors and nurses working in the clinic all work on a probono or reduced fees.
As well as cancer detection, the clinic promotes cancer prevention with weekly health campaigns held throughout the city. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in these health campaigns.
