Centre Hospitalier Lyon-Sud is one of the hospitals in the group of Hospices Civils de Lyon which is the second largest University hospital group in France.The group is made up of 14 establishments.
The hospital was initially created in 1802 when two hospitals, Hôtel Dieu and La Charité amalgamated.
