Sveti Duh General Hospital

District General Hospital | Zagreb, Croatia

Hospital description

The Sveti Duh Hospital (Klinika bolnica Sveti Duh) in the Cernomerec district of Zagreb is a university hospital and is owned by the City of Zagreb. It is the oldest hospital in the Republic of Croatia with a history that stretches back over 200 years. The hospital is very busy and is often understaffed, so the working atmosphere can be a little strained. There are a wide variety of specialties available at the hospital although it does not offer paediatric care.

Sveti Duh is fully equipped to a relatively high standard and treats approximately 25,000 inpatients and 250,000 outpatients annually. There is also a 24 hour emergency department at the hospital. Many of the staff at the hospital speak English well.
