The Mae Sai Hospital is quite a small faciltiy that is split between three wards; male, female and children. It is located in the most northerly town of Thailand and is colocated with the Myanmar (Burmese) town of Tachilek. The hospital is equipped with an outpatients department, a labour room, an Accident and Emergency room, two operating rooms and a clinic for HIV and TB. The hospital is usually very busy and the wards are often full, however the three consultants are supported by junior doctors and a health nursing staff.
