The Christian Hospital at Serkawn is a small, largely underreseourced facility that has an excellent, skilled staff. The hospital began in 1919 as a dispensary, but was later relocated to a separate building which was constructed using Baptist donations. The initial hospital was designed to cater for women and children, and whilst Serkawn still provides such care the hospital has now grown to provide additional services to the local population.
It is still supported by the Baptist Church of Mizoram.
