The national rehabilitation Center in Abu Dhabi opened in 2002 in response to the growing addiction problem facing the Abu Dhabi emirate after its rapid expansion and development. The centre was established after a rigourous consultation with some of the best addiction treatment centres in the world. The centre is supported by the Abu Dhabi President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince, General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

It is a world class rehabilitation facility that offers both in- and out-patient treatment and also provides outreach services for the local population.
