Graylands Hospital Campus is the State’s largest and only public stand-alone psychiatric teaching hospital with a number of special care services co-located on Graylands Campus.
Graylands Hospital provides acute care, treatment and rehabilitation to adults. Graylands Campus also has a forensic maximum-secured inpatient facility. The special care services consist of a 24-hour 7 day a week community emergency service, court liaison and community support to forensic patients and creative and vocational training. The special services are available to in-patients as well as patients living in the community.
Graylands Hospital is a fully accredited psychiatric teaching hospital, and has research and education facilities located on the campus. It is used as a major training facility for medical, nursing and other health professionals specialising in adult mental health. Other services at Graylands include the State Forensic Mental Health Service, the Psychiatric Services Library, CECAT an art therapy centre and Statewide Indigenous Mental Health Services.
