The Royal Berkshire Hospital is a new hospital that replaced the Battle Hospital in Reading in 2005. It is part of the Royal Berkshire NHS Trust and is an outlying teaching hospital for University College London. It is the main hospital site for the Trust and has had £132 million development invested in it over the last decade.

The original Royal Berkshire Hospital was opened in Reading in 1839 and has sice grown into a large scale hospital that provides acute hospital services to the residents of the western and central portions of Berkshire.
