The Radium Hospital in Montebello in Oslo is highly specialized in the treatment of cancer . The hospital is Northern Europe’s largest cancer centre. In 2005 The Radium Hospital merged with the Rikshospitalet University Hospital, the Ullevaal University Hospital and Aker University Hospital, to form Oslo University Hospital in 2009.

Radium Hospital has specialized units for pathology, radiology, clinical chemistry, anesthesia and clinical research and accepts referrals from all over the country. The clinical units have close research collaboration with the Institute of Cancer Research, found at the hospital. Radium Hospital also works closely with the Montebello Centre in Lillehammer which is a rehabilitation centre for those who have or have had cancer and their families.
