Kavieng General Hospital is a small provincial hospital that was built in the early 1970’s with a catchment area of approx. 190,000 people. Its current infrastructure and equipment is old and inadequate. Staffing is also short of where it needs to be. However, people working at the hospital are great and do the best they can. They would really appreciate any help they can get to improve the service that they provide to the people of New Ireland Province.
