Hospital description

The Tripler Army Medical Centre is the largest military hospital in the Asian and Pacific Rim region. It is the headquarters of the Pacific Regional Medical Command of the armed forces administered by the United States Army in the state of Hawaii. The medical center is located on the slopes of Moanalua Ridge overlooking Moanalua and Salt Lake, Honolulu.

The medical center was constructed after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. Today it is the only federal tertiary care hospital in the Pacific Basin. It supports 264,000 local active duty and retired military personnel, their families and veteran beneficiaries.
