Hospital description

The Caritas Baby Hospital was founded in 1952 by Father Schnydrig from Switzerland. The Pediatric inpatient section contains three wards (wards A and B, a neonatal section, and the intensive care unit for neonatal and pediatric patients) with almost 5000 patients admitted pro year.

There is also an outpatient clinic, open 24/7 for general medicine and internal medicine with subspecialities in: Audiology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pulmonary, Ancillary services, Laboratory, Day Care, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy, Radiology and Social Work. Every year, more than 30 000 patients are treated.

Since 1970 nurses are trained there.
