Hospital description

108 Military Central Hospital (or Bệnh viện Trung ương Quân Đội 108) built in 1894, is one of the most famous hospitals in Vietnam, especially for surgery. It is a subordinate unit of Ministry of National Defence, and is the first hospital in Vietnam that carried out organ transplants (kidney, liver). In 2005, a beam therapy system with a linear accelerator (Cyberknife) of Acuray agency was installed which enabled the surgeons to treat tumors in the body without surgery.

At present, 108 Hospital has 1,400 inpatient beds and is one of three high specialized medical centers, specializing on internal medicine.
