SUS is Sweden’s third-biggest hospital, it provides highly specialised care. Research is tightly connected to the clinical work and in co-operation with Lund University. Students from all areas (medicine, nursing and other care professions like physiotherapy) do their placements here.
The hospital has around 11300 staff in more than 100 professions.
During a typical day, 25 babies will be born at the two hospitals, there will be 364 visits to A & E, 130 individual surgeries and 5684 visits to primary care.
