Skåne’s University Hospital (SUS) houses not only highly specialised care, but also research and teaching. The hospital works on two sites: In Malmö (Södra Förstadsgatan 101, 205 02 Malmö) or Lund (Getingevägen 4, 221 85 Lund
SUS is Sweden’s third-biggest hospital, it provides highly specialised care. Research is tightly connected to the clinical work and in co-operation with Lund University. Students from all areas (medicine, nursing and other care professions like physiotherapy) do their placements here.
The hospital has around 11300 staff in more than 100 professions.
During a typical day, 25 babies will be born at the two hospitals, there will be 364 visits to A & E, 130 individual surgeries and 5684 visits to primary care.

Lund is a city in the province of Scania (Skåne) in southern Sweden. The town has more than 87,000 inhabitants.

Lund University is today one of Scandinavia’s largest institutions for education and research.The university and its buildings dominate much of the centre of the city, and have led to Lund becoming a centre for high-tech industry in the south of Sweden. Numerous literary and intellectual figures have lived or studied in Lund, including the writer August Strindberg and the scientist and naturalist Carl Linnaeus.
