St. Joseph hospital in Berlin Tempelhof is the largest catholic hospital in Berlin. It treats and cares for 74,000 patients each year. About 4,500 babies were born here in the year 2016 – that is more than in any other German hospital.
The hospital specialises in visceral surgery, gastroenterology, geriatrics and interdisciplinary tumour therapy and palliativ medicine. It has the largest non-university nephrology department in Germany.

St. Josephs Krankenhaus is associated with the Charité РUniversity Medicine Berlin and acts as a teaching hospital (Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus) that will accept German students during their practical year (Praktisches Jahr).
