The HELIOS hospital looks back at 140 years of history, which makes it the oldest in Pforzheim. It is located right at the banks of the river Enz, close to the centre of Pforzheim. Pforzheim itself is a town with a population of 120,000 and well know for its jewellery industry. Even to this day, 80% of Germany’s jewellery exports are manufactured in Pforzheim, which is why the city also carries the name Goldstadt (gold town).
