The Siloah St. Trudpert hospital has 11 clinics with a broad spectrum of specialities. It also houses a certified thorax centre, a vascular centre, a certified endoprosthetics centre and a certified Diabetes centre. Each year it has around 22,000 in-patient visits and another 18,000 out-patient visits. The hospital also has an affiliation with the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg and acts as a teaching hospital (Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus) that will accept German students during their practical year (Praktisches Jahr). Places are available in internal medicine, surgery, anaesthetics, ENT, Gynaecology, psychosomatics, radiology and urology.

Pforzheim, situated between Karlsruhe and Stuttgart in the south-east of Germany, is a town with a population of 120,000 and well know for its jewellery industry. Even to this day, 80% of Germany’s jewellery exports are manufactured in Pforzheim, which is why the city also carries the name Goldstadt (gold city).
