Amir oncology hospital was built by Ms. Zahra Saadat, a benefactor from Shiraz, in an area of 6370 square meters, in remembrance of her beloved son, Amir Reza Hadaegh who died from cancer.
Amir Oncology Hospital was founded in 2007 and rapidly became one of the major cancer centers in Shiraz. This hospital has a staff of 334 including 12 oncologists, 170 nurses, 22 General Physicians, etc. The hospital is responsible for cancer care in the south of Iran. At Amir Oncology Hospital, staff provides patients with a multidisciplinary approach including surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. This hospital is also an affiliate of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences– providing training for undergraduates, postgraduates, residents and fellows from other provinces who want to be oncologists.
As a nationally recognized academic medical center, Amir Oncology Hospital provides specialized treatment for a wide range of cancers and blood disorders. Amir oncology hospital houses 120 approved beds, 12 inpatients wards, 4 outpatient wards, 1 surgery room and 6 para-clinical section.

In addition to this, both inpatients and outpatients are receiving psychologic, psychiatric, nutrition and infectious counseling depending on their needs.
Amir Oncology Hospital provides an average of 47700 services annually not only to the provincial visitors and non-provincial (southern Iran) ones but also to patients from other countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Emirates.
