The German Clinic for Diagnostics (Deutsche Klinik für Diagnostik, DKD) is part of the HELIOS groups of hospitals. It was founded in 1970 following the model of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester (Minnesota, USA). In July 2017 HELIOS HSK (which is also located in Wiesbaden) and DKD founded an interdisciplinary lung centre. The newsmagazine Focus named it as one of the Hesse region’s top hospitals in its 2018 ranking of German hospitals.
The hospital also has affiliation with the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main and acts as a teaching hospital (Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus) that will accept German students during their practical year (Praktisches Jahr). Places are available in neurology.
