Pacific Hospital is located in the city of Hội An (previously known as Fai-Fo or Faifoo) on Vietnam’s central coast. The city is known for its Old Town and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. The historic district is recognized as an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Its architecture is a mix of eras and styles from wooden Chinese shophouses and temples to colorful French colonial buildings, ornate Vietnamese tube houses and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge with its pagoda that dates back to the 16th-17th century.
