In only two years, Marien Klinik went from a specialised clinic to a hospital with a comprehensive emergency care offer and a wider spectrum of specialised care.

The Helios Klinikum in Duisburg has an affiliation with the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and both locations act as a teaching hospitals (Akademische Lehrkrankenhäuser) that will accept German students during their practical year (Praktisches Jahr).
