The Brüderkrankenhaus St. Josef is one of three clinics who together form the St. Vincenz-Krankenhaus GmbH. Altogether the hospital group consists of 18 specialist departments with 756 beds and treats over 41,000 inpatients a year. The three locations are St. Vincenz-Krankenhaus, the Women’s and Children’s Clinic St. Louise, and the Brüderkrankenhaus St. Josef. This hospital alone takes care of 20,000 in- and 40,000 out-patients every year.

The hospital also has an affiliation with the Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen and acts as a teaching hospital (Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus) that will accept German students during their practical year (Praktisches Jahr). It was awarded the "MFT-Zert-Gütesiegel " regarding the quality of practical year education (http://www.mft-zert.de/). Places are available in anaesthetics, surgery, internal medicine, orthopaedics, radiology and urology.

Paderborn is a city in the East Westphalia-Lippe region of Germany. The university city looks back at 1,200 years of history and is well known for its cathedral and historical city centre.
