More and more students are going on electives again – whether national or international – so we have come up with a new and exciting format for this bursary.
Bursaries of £500 each are awarded and can be used at the students’ discretion towards the cost of their electives.
Students will be asked to create a video 3 minutes in length (± 10 seconds) on the topic of their elective. There are no limitations on the theme for the video; students can for example use it to showcase their elective experience, discuss elective-related questions, or give advice to students planning and going on their elective in the future.
You must not use any copyrighted music, sound effects, or images in your video. The copyright of the materials submitted for this competition remains with respective participants; however, by entering you grant TEN and its partners the right to use the submitted materials, in original or altered versions, for an unlimited amount of time to be uploaded to any social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) or used in other capacities, crediting you as the copyright owner.
Winners will be chosen in two rounds:
The first grant will be awarded based on popularity (number of ‘likes’ of video). The second grant will be awarded by the TEN Advisory Board to the video of their choice from the remaining pool of videos.
This award is open to any student aged 18 years or older who holds a valid TEN account at the time of application) and is actively studying towards an accredited qualification in medicine, nursing, or midwifery. The competition is open to nationals from any country studying in any country worldwide. Students must be within 12 months of their elective at the time the competition closes.
Those students shortlisted for the award will be asked to provide proof of study before the final judgement is made.
Applications can be made at any time. The entries will be assessed after the closing date and the successful applicants will be informed within 4 weeks with the payment following shortly afterwards.
